A Unique Place to Catch Your Football Game in NW Pennsylvania
“The Library” as it is known to locals, is a one of a kind restaurant and bar located in the former town library located right in downtown Corry. The restaurant offers sit down seating on the upper floor, complete with pool table and library dÃ?©cor and a bar atmosphere downstairs with plenty of seating and TVs. On Sundays the place is filled with fans of all the areas teams, especially when the Steelers or Browns aren’t on cable. On Sundays the biggest crowd of the week files in to root on their team, cheer against the others, and have a great time with friends you know from around town. This banter between fans creates a wonderful atmosphere for watching the game. The biggest weekend is when the Steelers take on the Browns or Ravens and the games aren’t on cable. On these occasions there is no room to sit in the bar with everyone just wanting to catch a glimpse of the game on one of the many TV screens.
The Library also offers a wide variety of foods from bar appetizers to full blown meals, to their famous wings. On Sundays as well as several other nights a week, the bar runs a special on wings charging only thirty-five cents apiece. Another nice aspect to watching the game at this par is that even after you’re done eating, they don’t rush you out the door. Instead, they let you stay at you table, get drink refills, and enjoy the rest of the games. They also offer free popcorn as well as amazing hand-cut french fries.
After stepping inside The Library for the first time it is easy to understand why it is a great place to watch the game. It feels like a bar made for watching sports, offering a laid back place to enjoy games and be loud doing it. Stop by sometime if you’re in the area and grab a drink and some wings and enjoy the game.
