Albuquerque, New Mexico Hotels

So you’re visiting Albuquerque, New Mexico and you’re looking for a hotel. Well, first off, you need to learn how to spell the name, which, coming from this reporter, seemed quite the challenge – it’s the small things in life, y’know. After you’ve mastered the spelling of this beautifully rustic city, you need to find an even more dazzling hotel. And one thing lays true, trying to find a beautiful hotel here is like finding a hard body at South Beach – there are plenty to go around. I have reviewed the top three hotels within this beautiful city.

The first hotel I have reviewed is the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. This eleven-story hotel has 188 guestrooms, all of which are outfitted with amazingly gorgeous contemporary Southwestern d©cor. There is wireless Internet available (at a surcharge), and many of the rooms have walkout balconies with city or for your more rugged travelers mountain views. Health conscious? Every room is non-smoking for clean lungs and souls. The Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town is located within a half-mile of numerous shops, art galleries, tastefully eclectic restaurants, and museums. For those who are looking for a more wild experience while at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, the hotel is located within two miles of the Rio Grande Zoo, Botanic Garden, and the Albuquerque Aquarium (say that five times fast). Some of the various on site facilities include a wonderful Health Spa, outdoor splash pool, and a fitness center to keep you in shape between meals (all of which are available at a surcharge). One thing is certain about this hotel, you will never have a cold moment.

The second hotel I reviewed is the Wyndham Albuquerque Airport Hotel. This fifteen-floor hotel is located only 350 yards from the Albuquerque International Airport, and is only six miles from the Old Town area. So it is evident that if you are a traveler who doesn’t like spending much time in taxi cabs to get to your hotel, than the Wyndham Albuquerque Airport Hotel is the hotel for you. All guestrooms are completely outfitted with Golden Door Bath care products – which are the best of the best when it comes to toiletry items – and high-speed Internet access. Within six miles of the hotel lies The University of New Mexico, National Atomic Museum, Rio Grande Zoo, and Old Town. The hotel’s lobby, grill, and lounge areas utilize a large amount of sandstone, copper, wood, and tile – why you may ask? To lend an Anasazi feel. Well, don’t fret, because this amazingly wonderful atmosphere doesn’t stop at the lobby, it is carried out throughout all of the guestrooms. This hotel is an eclectics dream!

And lastly is the Hotel Blue Downtown. This hotel is unlike any of the other ones that we have reviewed. Unlike the latter two, which had the traditional Southwestern design and d©cor, the Hotel Blue Downtown is outfitted in a beautiful art deco style, which envies that of even the most affluent Manhattan hotel. This hotel is located only six blocks from the convention center and only 4.5 miles from the Airport. And one of the most exciting aspects for all travelers, is that the Hotel Blue offers free High-Speed Internet Access in all public areas. This hotel has 135 guestrooms on two floors, and all rooms continue in the free Internet standard. The hotel also offers an outdoor pool and a fitness center to stay in shape even on the move. If you require the beautiful crispness of the Southwest, but also crave the modern touch, than The Hotel Blue is absolutely for you.
