All Time Favorite Drama Movies
When I used to think about ‘Drama’ I would picture, lovey dovey, crybaby, men and women, but then I watched a few movies, later finding out that they were in the ‘Drama’ category, and I actually liked them. So from then on I have found a new respect for ‘Drama’. And here is a list of my ‘All Time Favorite Drama Movies’;
Starting off my drama list is a wonderful movie called, “Original Sin” starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas.
In this movie, Banderas finds himself a mail order bride, Jolie, or is it?
There are so many twists and turns to keep you on your feet, pay close attention or you may fall off track and get lost.
Seductive love scenes, and a beautiful cast, you have to see this movie I call the best drama I’ve seen.
Another Banderas movie, well it is more of a Tom Hanks movie, but Bandares is also in it. Banderas plays Tom Hanks’ boyfriend in “Philadelphia”. This drama is about Hanks, who works as a lawyer, but gets fired because he is a gay man with aids. So Hanks sues his former company and struggles with his condition. Again, another great cast and beautifully presented.
Angelina Jolie stars in another Drama called “Foxfire”. She plays a lesbian runaway, who finds herself in a small town, helping out some girls in school from their sexually abusive teacher, Jolie and the girls find themselves getting closer and becoming great friends.
But with Jolie’s prior record the town doesn’t see her as a ‘friend’ and she soon decides to leave again.
Constantly pulling at your heartstrings, these girls are great in their rolls, making you feel a part of the film.
“A Walk to Remember” is a powerful movie about reality, true love, and religion. Mandy Moore and Shane West are more than amazing as two young teens, against all odds their friendship soon turns to love.
Definitely a tear-jerker, so grab that box of tissues and enjoy this beautiful story of love, romance, God, and an illness. Sure to bring everyone even closer and more in depth with their emotional side.
“Uptown Girls” is a super cute drama about a young woman Britney Murphy, who hasn’t quite learned how to grow up, after her parents died she had enough money so that she always got everything she ever needed and wanted. But once she finds out that she has lost all of her money, and has to move out of her perfect home, she finds herself searching for a job. And ends up finding it when a mother needs a new nanny for her daughter Dakota Fanning, a neat freak, grown up little girl, who thinks she knows everything. The two are so cute together. Both are great actresses and their rolls in this movie are exquisite. A must see drama/comedy about friendship, and the hardships of growing up.
Now here is a great drama/comedy; “Bandits”, starring Billy Bob Thornton, and Bruce Willis. They play two bank robbers, pretty funny bank robbers in fact. Thornton’s character has a few, well, ticks. He is very gullible and it is hilarious to watch him try working out his flaws throughout the movie.
Willis plays a romantic tough guy. After a while both guys end up falling for the girl, and she can’t choose between them.
This is a great drama/comedy, sad, but always enjoyable to watch.
“Jersey Girl” is such a cute drama, starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, and Liv Tyler.
In the movie, Lopez and Affleck are married and have a daughter together, but in giving birth to the baby girl Lopez dies, and leaves Affleck alone with the baby, which he isn’t very happy about.
Affleck meets Tyler who works at the local video store, and they end up seeing quite a bit of each other, and Affleck’s daughter ends up befriending Tyler as well.
It really is a cute movie, it made me cry a couple times, but hey everyone needs to cry once in a while.
Angelina Jolie stars in this amazingly written movie “Beyond Borders”. Jolie’s performance is breathtaking in this drama about a young woman that feels she needs to use her gifts to help those in need in other countries. Jolie finds herself falling in love with the doctor, also helping those in need. I cried more than once in this beautiful drama. Jolie’s courage and strength are remarkable as she travels through so many different countries, helping those in need.
You really should see this movie, if you see no other drama; this one should be the one you see, amazing scenery and it touches the heart, just thinking that the things you are seeing are real, and really happening out there.
It makes you realize just how lucky you are to have everything you need, and not be starving or be suffering from some illness and have no doctors that can help you. This is truly a beautiful movie; that everyone should see at least once.
Well I have come to the end of my list of Drama movies. I hope that you have enjoyed my list and reviews of each of the movies.
There are so many more dramas out there that are truly amazing and wonderful, but I unfortunately have not seen them all, but I plan to, and I can’t wait.
I thank you so much for reading my reviews.
