Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing vs Revlon ColorStay Eye& Lip Make Up Remover

Eye make up removers are definitley a must when you like to wear dark long lasting lipstick or even just a regular black mascara. If you wear water proof mascara you had better look into an eye make up remover like either Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing or Revlon ColorStay Eye& Lip Make Up Remover. Both of these products were developed specifically to remove hard to take off make up. We have all been there, the morning after a late night out. We wash our face off and the mascara seems to be glued to the delicate pink skin on the edge of our lashes. It looks like you have been tattooed to something. This is definitely one of my pet peeves, which is why I first bought Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel. Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing and Revlon ColorStay Eye& Lip Make Up Remover can be found in almost any grocery store or drug store. Best of al they are affordable and they actually work. The question is which works better?

How Do You Use It

The directions on the bottle of Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing says to squeeze it into your fingertips and gently massage over your lids and lashes. Then to rinse with water. I have followed these instructions and they work well. If you need some extra cleaning though, I highly recommend a cotton ball. I like Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing because I wear contacts and this product always washes cleanly off of my face. Some eye make up removers I have used in the past did not completely rinse off and when I went to put my contacts in I was greeted with an early morning wake up of two burning eye. That was not pleasant. This has never happened to me with Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing. It has a pleasant smell that is clean and fresh, but not filled with perfume.

I first bought Revlon ColorStay Eye & Lip Make Up Remover after I tried their ColorStay Long wearing lip stick. I thought why not try coordinating products. I rarely do this, but I was happily not disappointed. On the directions of this eye make up remover they go ahead and tell you to use a cotton ball or tissue. Then rinse with water. This eye makeup remover is great for removing a long wearing lipstick off of your lips, but I found that it irritated my eyes somewhat. They were not burning, but they were just uncomfortable and kind of dry. I think because the bought Revlon ColorStay Eye & Lip Make Up Remover was liquid it was able to get into my eyes more easily compared to the Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel.

Make up Be Gone!

The Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing and Revlon ColorStay Eye& Lip Make Up Remover both did a good job removing eye make up and lipstick off of my face. I think I prefer the Almay Eye Make Up Remover Gel, Moisturizing because it was thicker and could cling to my face and work on the make up. This eliminated a lot of the need to continually wipe away mascara and lip stick with lots of tissues, which I really liked. The Almay eye make up remover product was more gentle and required less work on my part.
