Laguna Beach Laguna Beach, California: Home to many famous movie stars, past and present, Laguna Beach is located in beautiful Orange County. Mainly a resort town now, Laguna beach has it’s share of classy restaurants, beach-side motels and fun-filled activities. The Surf and Sand restaurant, opened in 1948, has seen its share of stars. The Montage Resort and Spa also caters to the rich and famous.
If star-sighting isn’t what you’re looking for take a walk along the main beach boardwalk to see artists’ work or explore the area canyons. Newport Beach Newport Beach, California: Newport Beach offers the same things most beaches do: swimming, boating and sunbathing but they also have Davey’s Locker and Spa Gregorie’s. And the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, featuring a ship model gallery with touch-screen kiosks, is another attraction unique to Newport Beach. Accommodations include the Four Seasons Hotel, Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Radisson, and even the Little Inn by the Bay.
Santa Barbara, California: the beaches in this area give you a small-town feeling with all the features of a great beach: sun, surf, excellent dining nearby, great hotels and unforgettable scenery. Be sure to see the Santa Barbara Zoo and the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens while you’re in the neighborhood.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Mostly a family resort, Myrtle Beach features putt-putt golf, water parks, parasailing and lots of shopping. The NASCAR speed park is another popular attraction in the area. Then there’s the Ripley’s Aquarium, Carolina Safari Jeep Tours and the famous Myrtle Beach Bike Week.
