As it Will

It came as a quick and devastating blow.
Our wise men said that we would never know.
The corpses lined up row after row,
as if the devil’s seed we sowed.
The structures rocked with a vengence and force
that shook our souls right to the source.
Fires spread like rumors in a school,
while dead man’s blood lay in a crimson pool.
Many warnings came our way,
but to them no heed did we pay.
So we warn you now, for the time will come
that your city is rocked ten times the nuclear one.
