Baby Shower Lollipops

Baby shower lollipops are a great idea if you are planning on throwing a baby shower and looking for something unique and memorable. Your guest of honor will really appreciate the time and effort that you put into this. It will really show how much you care for them when you make your own lollipops. The type of lollipops that you will be making are chocolate of course. Which is a favorite at any party. Depending on what gender the baby is your color of chocolate will vary. For example if they are expecting a boy, then you would use blue chocolate. Or if they are expecting a girl then you would use pink chocolate. If they are not sure of the gender than you could probably just use the dark chocolate. You can find this chocolate at any party supply store. They usually have chocolate coins, the size of pennies which come with instructions on how too melt down. It really is a simple process and does not take very long at all.

Once you purchase your chocolate, you can then purchase your lollipop sticks, and the plastic candy wrappers. You will also want to purchase ribbon to tie on the end’s, and your candy molds. When it comes to the candy mold’s you can choose whatever you want. Teddy Bears are great for baby showers. Or even baby blocks, or small baby molds. Choose whatever you want to make. For a special extra touch you could have their names printed on the ribbon with the date. But since they will just be opening them and eating them, there really is no need to do that.

Once you have purchased all of the items that you need your next step is to begin melting your chocolate. Make sure you follow the directions for melting on the chocolate package. Once the chocolate is melted you will then pour it into the molds, and stick in the lollipop sticks and refrigerate. You will probably have to refrigerate them over night, so make sure you allow yourself enough time. Once you are done refrigerating your lollipop, you will then be able to just pop them right out ot the molds. The last thing that you will need to do is wrap them in the candy wrappers, and tie on your ribbon, and you are done. Make sure once you are done that you return them to the refrigerate this will help them to stay nice and hard so that they do not begin to melt and lose their shape. When transporting them you will still want to keep them relatively cool. If it is a very hot day, you will want to use a cooler to transport them in. One small ice pack should be enough to keep the cooler temperature just right. This is also a good project that you can have your children help you with. Your guest’s will love it, and it will be a memorable gift.
