Benefiber Fiber Supplement
Benefiber is a fiber supplement that is recommended for people suffering from bowel irregularity. Symptoms of this condition may include abdominal bloating, constipation, stomach pain, and so forth. Lack of fiber is a main contributor of intestinal problems. Even though the exact causes of irritable bowel syndrome are unknown, it has been determined that certain foods and stress may be a culprit. Those who visit a doctor for IBS may be depressed once they learn that the condition is not curable. On the contrary, Benefiber has been proven effective with easing colon spasms and treating the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.
I experimented with Benefiber approximately two months ago. As a long time IBS sufferer, I had given up on any hope of finding a way to treat the condition. Instead, I decided to stop consuming ice cream, sodas, certain fruits, and any other foods that caused the condition to worsen. On this particular occasion, I experienced my worst case of abdominal bloating to date. The pain radiated to my left side and pelvis. Because the symptoms occurred late at night, I did not seek medical attention. The next day – it was gone.
Even though the pain had stopped, my abdomen was extremely bloated and felt as if I had completed 100 sit-ups. This was one of my classic IBS symptoms. I had put off purchasing a fiber supplement. However, I decided that now was a good time to start taking a supplement. I was attracted to Benefiber because the supplement was tasteless. As a powder, it could dissolve into any beverage or food product. Simply sprinkle a teaspoon into drinks, wait for the powder to dissolve, and consume the supplement.
After about two days of taking Benefiber, I began to notice a difference. It took about a week for all IBS symptoms to subside. Since then, I continue to take the fiber supplement on a daily basis. In the past two months, I have only experienced three bouts of IBS – all three incidents lasting less than a couple of days. Before Benefiber, symptoms occurred much regular – usually 5 to 10 times each month.
