Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast in Lebanon, PA is Berry, Berry Good!

For one of the issues of Teen Trend Magazine, we did an Off The Beaten Path article on Hershey, PA. Since I was the one that wanted to write this article, I needed to head down to Hershey myself. Located about 20 minutes away from Hershey is the quaint town of Lebanon, PA.

The 20 acres that Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast is located on is very secluded. The house is located all the way back from the road, with a small corral for some of the rescued animals in front of it. The house is 3 stories high, with several of the guest rooms located on the top floor. On the main floor, guests will find the parlot, great room (with pool table, fun slot machine, tables, table games and a big, friendly cat), kitchen (off limits to guests), dining room, and foyer. There is also a large, wraparound deck outside. On the lowest floor, guests can find the gift shop with all sorts of products made right there at the Berry Patch.

While The Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast looks like a rustic log cabin, it was actually recently built. There are six (6) rooms that guests can choose from:

 Briar Rose Room
This room is the bridal or anniversary room. There is a king-sized, canopy bed, fireplace and two-person jacuzzi in the room. Guests of this room also have a private bathroom, TV and VCR, and a private entrance and personal patio. Rates range from $158 – $178.

 English Meadow Room
This is also a terrific room for couples, as it has a king-sized bed, two-person jacuzzi, fireplace, TV and VCR, priate bathroom and separate entrance. Rates range from $149 – $168.

 Sadi Maya Room
This room is smaller than the first two, but not by much. You will find a queen-sized bed, jacuzzi, fireplace, TV, private bathroom and private entrance. Rates range from $139 – $158 per night.

âÂ?¢ Scarlet O’Hara Room
As you can tell by the name, this room is done in a Southern motif. There is a queen-sized canopy bed in this room, as well as a TV, private bathroom with tub, and a fireplace. Rates range from $125 – $130 per night.

 Ciara Carol Room
This room is the smallest (erm, “coziest”) of all of the rooms available. You will find a fireplace, queen-sized bed, TV and private bathroom with a tub. Since it is the smallest room, the rates are the lowest. You can find rates for this room between $89 – $99 per night.

 Alexandria Room
This room has a view of the Strawberry Shortcake Museum found at the Beryy Patch Bed & Breakfast. There is also a fireplace, queen-sized bed, private bathroom with tub, and television. Rates range from $99 – $114 per night.

If you happen to be traveling with pets or your family, you can always rent out The Cottage. This is a one bedroom cottage with a queen-sized bed, combination bedroom/living room, central air, TV, and private bathroom. Nightly rates is just about $135. You can rent it for a week for a mere $500.

Craig and I were fortunate enough to stay in the Scarlett O’Hara room. The room is absolutely wonderful. It is located in the main building, which is adorned with all sorts of antiques. Surprisingly, guests are able to admire these antiques up close, including in their rooms.

The interior of the main house is amazine. It is three stories of log cabin charm, decorated with all sorts of antiques. These antiques even trickle into the guest rooms, giving guests and up close and personal view of them.

Charlie and Bunny, the owners of Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast, couldn’t be nicer people. They are gracious, wonderful hosts. Bunny is an amazing cook- breakfast is WONDERFUL!! They will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Berry Patch Bed & Breakfast is a fantastic getaway for people of all ages. Whether you want a romantic getaway or a family vacation, the Berry Patch will meet your needs. Shoot, you can even bring your family dog! Regardless of what room (or cottage) you stay in, you will not be disappointed.
