Best Blogs on the Internet

It seems like everyone has a blog these days. People like to blog about everything. There are people in San Francisco who like to blog about the fog. Then, there are people in Los Angeles who prefer to blog about the smog. Somewhere there is a farmer who just wants to blog about a hog. And I am sure there is a princess who wants to blog about a frog. There is even an animal rights activist that likes to blog about a catI mean dog. Well, you get the idea. Anyway, with all these blogs out there, how can you find the best blogs without wasting your time? Well, here is a list that will help you out. These are in no particular order, but here are my choices for best blogs on the internet today:

1. Do you ever wonder what goes on in the mind of a billionaire? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore. Real life billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has a blog that he frequently updates. It can be found at www.blogmaverick.com.

2. Do you remember the Internet boom? When all those highflying internet stocks were shooting through the roof, Merrill Lynch internet analyst Henry Blodget was a rock star on Wall Street. He became famous for predicting that Amazon.com would hit $400 per share. Since then, Blodget was charged with civil securities fraud by the SEC, settled the case, and was banned from the securities industry for life. However, even that cannot keep Henry from sharing his thoughts about internet companies on his own personal blog at www.internetoutsider.com.

3. Okay, one more financial blog, while we’re on the subject. Gary Weiss is a former Business Week reporter who writes about dishonesty on Wall Street. He has also written two books: one about the mafia on Wall Street and one about the inner workings of Wall Street. He also runs an interesting blog at http://garyweiss.blogspot.com.

4. Most people have heard of the popular website www.craigslist.org. Well, there is actually a person named Craig Newmark who started the craigslist.com phenomenon. Craig operates a very interesting and informative blog at www.cnewmark.com.

5. Are you curious about what goes on in the minds of New Yorkers? Well, at www.overheardinnewyork.com, you can read about the crazy true conversations that were overheard on the streets of New York. This blog is great if you are looking for a quick laugh.

6. If you are looking for a well-written, interesting, and humorous blog, check out www.dooce.com. Dooce is the blog of Heather B. Armstrong, a Utah stay at home mom, who used to live a very interesting life in Los Angeles.

7. If you are hungry or need a recipe, go to www.cookingforengineers.com. Cooking for engineers has great pictures of food and great ideas for cooking.

8. If you are looking for a blog about computers, the internet, and technology, www.slashdot.org is a great choice. Slashdot has been around for several years and stays on top of cutting edge issues in the IT field.

9. For a medley of interesting posts, check out the blog at www.boingboing.net. Boing Boing is a blog devoted to both the interesting and the weird.

10. Last, but not least is the blog that takes place behind the scenes at a restaurant. At www.waiterrant.net, you can read about true stories from a high-end restaurant in the New York City area. This blog was so popular that the waiter, err writer, just got a book deal.

Well, there you have it. What are you waiting for? Don’t tell me your ear has a clog! Just go ahead and read a blog.
