Best Colonial Kitchen Cabinet Resurfacing Paint Colors

Colonial Kitchen Cabinets can come in many different colors. Most of the Colonial Kitchen Cabinets I see are painted in a rich deep blue, warm old yellow, or deep barn red. You can easily transform existing kitchen cabinets by resurfacing them with paint to look like Colonial Kitchen cabinets with these paint colors and techniques.

Rustic Colonial Yellow Kitchen Cabinet Resurfacing

Rustic yellow colonel kitchen cabinets are one of my favorite looks in kitchen. This colonial yellow is rustic, warm, and so rich. There is nothing pastel about this yellow paint at all!

My favorite yellow colonial paint color is Roasted Sesame Seed from Benjamin Moore. You can buy Benjamin Moore paint colors at Ace Hardware.

I love this yellow paint color because it pairs so well with the rest of the colonial kitchen cabinet paint colors listed here. Try using this yellow paint color on the upper cabinets and one of the others on the lower cabinets.

If you want to darken your rustic yellow paint color to make it really look old and like it was hand painted in Colonial times, ten try adding some black to the paint color. You could also let the paint dry on your kitchen cabinets and them rub a wood gel stain or antique glaze over the paint.

This will give an instant antique look to yoru new colonial kitchen cabinets.

Rich Barn Red Colonial Kitchen Cabinet Resurfacing

One of my absolute favor paint colors of red colonial kitchen cabinets I Spanish Red. Benjamin Moore makes Spanish Red of course. I always fall back on Benjamin Moore paint color when I will be suing a rich and warm color.

Benjamin Moore has a selection of historically accurate paint colors that really look awesome on walls, furniture, and yes, kitchen cabinets.

This deep Spanish Red would be absolutely perfect painted onto doors in the kitchen as wheel. When you paint the kitchen cabinets this colonial red paint color, then let it dry. Try sanding the edges and knob areas of the cabinets ot get that time warn look.

Deep Rich Blue Colonial Kitchen Cabinet Resurfacing

To resurface yoru kitchen cabinet sin a great deep blue color try using the paint color Bermuda Blue from Benjamin Moore. Don’t let the name fool you. Bermuda Blue is a deep, rich, royal blue that would be absolutely perfect for painting cabinets in your kitchen to get that hand painted colonial kitchen cabinet look.

Try using this deep rich Bermuda Blue on the base cabinets. A warm rich creamy white color on the upper cabinets will contrast, add light, and simple complement the rich color fo the base cabinets.
