1. Boehm’s Chocolates

A beautiful, quaint atmosphere with display cases full of hand dipped chocolates and peanut brittle. There also is a variety of sugarfree chocolates here. I love their truffles…so creamy! The price is a little high, but the indulgence is worth it. Plus, you can pick one (or ten) up and walk the rest of Poulsbo’s Front Street area. 🙂 Nice.
The staff have been helpful each time I have been in here. The samples offered are enticing. Depending on the staff working, sometimes samples are not offered. That is a drawback, in my opinion.

Besides having an eclectic atmosphere, this place has alot of events to entertain people. They have Gamenights, Book Club, and Poetry Readings – to name a few. The view of Liberty Bay is something to see.
Delicous homemade soup here! The soup plus the baked goods and espresso offer a nice variety of goodies to choose from while one sits and enjoys the surroundings.
It is a fun place to experience. People are very friendly here. In fact, smiles abound!
3. The Cold Stone Creamery

Every time I mentioned the fact that Bremerton had a ‘Cold Stone Creamery’ to anyone I knew, I was greeted with wide eyes and “WHERE!!??” I had to check it out. Now I know what all the hoopla is about!
The prices are steep, but well worth the taste! This is the creamiest ice cream I have ever had! Plus, there is great variety. You can sample all the flavors you want, too. I like that. In fact, the staff are very friendly when offering samples and love to answer questions. There are a lot of questions, too, since the Creamery offers such unusual flavors and has such an interesting way of mixing ingredients together. It is fun to watch! I had Wasabi Ginger ice cream�sounds awful, but it was tasty! They also have sorbet, frozen yogurt, and so many add-ins that there is bound to be something to your pleasing in here.
The menu board is very appealing, well presented, and has one drooling by the time the order is taken. It truly is hard to decide what to partake of!
4. Pat’s Restaurant & Bakery

This is the cutest place around! There is a display case containing fresh baked goodies and a varied menu. Everything is baked from scratch onsite. That is impressive.
Waitresses are friendly, enjoy chatting with customers, and ‘service with a smile’ is found here.
I cannot emphasize enough what a pleasant atmosphere this place has. Prices are ok, serving sizes are ample, and food is tasty and fresh.
I know the owner to be community involved. This is a great place for meetings, also.
5. LaLaLand Chocolates

Here is a unique store with simply delectable handmade chocolates and truffles made onsite. They are displayed very temptingly in a case that is visible upon entering the small shop. Plus, they are so creamy and tasty! MMM!!
There is a small sit down area which is reminiscent of a vintage cafe. It is very comforting in here and one gets a sense of recreating an era long gone. The shop is located in an older house, as are so many businesses in the historic town of Port Gamble. They are known as ‘Pope Resource houses’. Just perfect.
They also have light lunches and beverages here.
The prices are high, but considering it is a locally owned and operated business, I feel it is ok for a treat. And, higher prices are common for this area.
I know the owners love their community, help other business owners, and truly enjoy meeting their customers. They are fun to be around.
6. Dairy Queen

Not a locally owned business, but still with tasty ice cream! A definite benefit of this place is the easy access off the freeway. The menu is diverse and food is consistently ok. I am not that familiar with their hot food since I mainly eat their ice cream cones. And, it is not that often due to their pricing. I am not paying the prices they ask for anything else. Too high. I will let someone else buy me that banana split. 🙂
The atmosphere is ok and is the typical Dairy Queen. There is ample room to maneuver in here. It is clean and well lit. This eatery offers a drive through, which is convenient. Even then, the drive through area is a tight squeeze that can be rather annoying. Service is efficient.
7. My Boys’ Pizza

This Port Orchard eatery has an atmosphere reminiscent of the 1950’s diner. There are checkered floors, ‘old time’ memorabilia covering the walls, and comfortable, yet pleasing tables and chairs. It is interesting to view the variety of state license plates on the wall. In other words, the atmosphere is fun to be in. It is very well lit and usually smells of freshly baked pizza. Quite nice.
Prices are kind of high, but it is worth it for a special treat. Plus, I know the owner to be a great person who is genuinely concerned about having her customers happy. It is a small, locally owned business.
This eatery also makes for a great meeting place. There is plenty of room to maneuver in here. This business is located in what is known as the blue Victorian building. External street signage is ok, but there are usually balloons around the signs to help them stand out. That is a very good idea.
8. Madison’s Ice Cream Parlor

Same owner and building as My Boys’ Pizza, the business we just discussed. Hand dipped cones, shakes, and treats with the flavor of your choice are found here. Cascade ice cream is the ice cream of choice found here. The hot fudge sundaes are SO GOOD!! And, I love their banana splits (when I am not counting calories). Serving sizes are plentiful.
There are also salads, sandwiches, espresso, and gourmet desserts available.
Small area to sit down in. There are a 3-4 quaint cast iron table and chair sets. They are the kind found in ‘old fashioned’ soda shops. It is a pleasant site to see. Prices are ok for a treat.
9. Port Gamble General Store

Port Gamble has a history of a logging town and this business is the cornerstone of the area. The new owners (Pat and Susan Wright) have been here for about 3 years and have done a remarkable job with this place. It is a great place to come and rest your feet while strolling around Port Gamble. The most popular snack item during warmer months are the ice cream cones. Delicious Cascade ice cream is served here. They also carry a variety of single-packaged candy here that reminds me of being a kid again.
The atmosphere is wonderfully open, easy to maneuver in, and offers a variety of both foods and gift items. It does have the appearance of an old country store. The caf�©, located in the back of the store, has a sit down area and carries sandwiches, beverages, etc. There is a very pleasing and quaint atmosphere here.
Prices are high, but that is to be expected in this area. Meetings can be held here, also. This is a very popular place during all the festivals held in Port Gamble. The building itself is located waterfront of the logging mill. It is a nice place to visit and see how this area used to operate.
10. Cold Stone Creamery

Silverdale is the retail community of Kitsap County, so it is only fitting that a newer Cold Stone Creamery opens here. This location is newly opened within the last year and is always packed. I have yet to walk inside and not had to stand in line. The parking needs to be improved, since there does not seem to be much available usually. It is a community parking lot since the store is located in a small shopping mall.
Food and prices are the same as the Creamery location in Bremerton.
