Bissell’s Spot Bot Handsfree Compact Deep Cleaner
We used his parents steam cleaner on multiple occasions at our first home. Many of the stains came out only to resurface again after the carpet completely dried. It was rather disappointing at times to work so hard lugging a large machine around and scrubbing back and forth with the hose, only to have the stains come back.
We got a new puppy in the middle of May, this brought our number of pets up to two. With a new puppy that is in the process of being house broken, stains happen more often than any family would like. While out purchasing more puppy supplies, we went down the vaccuum and carpet cleaning aisle. We needed to purchase a new spot cleaning spray. My husband started to look at the steam cleaning machines since they were right next to all of the spot sprays. After looking over several of the machines we decided that it may be best to wait a while to buy a machine and we settled on just purchasing a spray. As we walked further down the aisle we saw the compact cleaning machines. The Bissell Spot Bot immediately caught our eye. The box explained how you don’t have to do anything except push a button and walk away from the machine. In a busy household like ours, this seemed very intriguing! We also noticed that it also has an attached hose that you can use only when needed. The price of the Spot Bot was only $118.88. We figured it was worht the risk to give this machine a try.
We put back our spot spray and grabbed a bottle of Bissell Pet Odor and Stain removal formula to go with our new cleaning machine. This cleanser is specifically designed for use in compact deep cleaning machines. We came home and began to tackle several stains around our home. Some of these stains were there when we purchased our home, other stains had been there from the past few months of children’s spills, others had just happened over the first few weeks of having a new puppy, and some had just happened that day. But how did the Spot Bot perform?
First of all, it is so easy to mix the cleaning solution. On the side of the container where you put the cleanser there are fill lines that show you how much water and how much cleaning formula to put in to the machine. Then you simply place the container filled with cleanser back into the machine, put the Spot Bot on top of the stain, push the button, and walk away. The machine takes over from there. You can either choose from surface stain or set in stain. I have always chosen surface stain even for stains that have been in the carpet for a while. The Spot Bot has always taken the stains out completely. I am always amazed at how well the spots come out! We have always used the pet stain formula, however there are other formulas available, including an OxyGen formula. It is also extrememly easy to use the hose function and then wrap the hose back up around the machine. Not to mention that there is also a place to store the cord for the machine too!
The only negative that I can find witht his machine is the fact that it is loud, however, every carpet cleaning machine I have used in my life has been loud, so I don’t know if that is really a problem. The machine is only loud when the cleanser is being shot onto the carpet or when the fluid is being suctioned out of the carpet. During the time when the scrub brushes are scrubbing the carpet,t he machine is fairly quiet.
For the small amount of money, ease of use, and wonderful results this is definitely a wonderful addition to any household with carpet. Stains are going to happen, but you can forget all about those stains with the Bissell Spot Bot!
