Black Friday Strategies

Black Friday is about finding the best deals possible in the midst of chaotic shoppers. Planning and having a strategy can go a long way during the shopping spree to find that perfect gift for everyone on your list.

Recruitment

The more friends and family members who are willing to brave the most chaotic shopping day of the year; the better chance there will be of getting every item on the list. Different people can go to various retail stores to get the best deal possible.

Ads

Ads are a must when preparing for the day. Print ads can be found in the local newspaper or most ads can be found right online. By reviewing the ads, lists can be made of who wants what item the most. The lists can be used to determine which store to shop.

Times

When reviewing the ads make notes of the times for each sale. Many stores have different sales at different times. The times usually start with early morning door busters but then other products go on sale at different times throughout the day.

Cell Phones

Make certain that everyone has their cell phone charged and ready to go. Cell phones are essential especially when calling each other to make certain that the right size, color or product is being purchased. I have even taking pictures with my cell phone of products and sent them in a text to make certain I was purchasing the right product.

Comfortable Shoes & Clothing

Black Friday is a shopping spree spreading from one location to another as well as spending long periods of time in line waiting for products or at the checkout lanes. Dress to be comfortable while waiting. I always seem to meet the most interesting people while standing in the lines. Meeting and chatting with people in line is part of the experience.

Have Fun

I think one of the most important aspects about shopping on Black Friday is to have fun. Keep in mind that not every product will be available. The right attitude or approach to the day will help make the shopping spree more fun. Also take time to regroup with friends and family members who are shopping as well. Go to breakfast or to lunch. Take in the sights and sounds that goes along with start of the holiday season as the biggest shopping day has been put in motion.
