Blenders Review: L’equip Vs. Kitchen Aid

The perfect blender, so difficult to find – but when you do and it has the capacity to chop ice, hold an abundance of liquid, and blend to that smooth perfection the search will be worth it. I have searched, and found two of the most effective blenders on the market – So difficult, that I found it hard to choose. Blend away, blender enthusiasts!

Recently I was inspired by a magazine article to search for the perfect blender. So I decided to do a bit of personal consumer research. I was on a trek to find the impossible. Here are my findings; I hope that they assist you in your search for the perfect blender.

My blender of choice (the one I chose to keep) is made by a company called L’equip. At $150.00 it is considered and investment for the well stocked kitchen. It is moderately priced and comparable to any high end professional blender. This blender has the ability to blend ice, fruit, and thick ingredients into perfection. The silky smooth textured mixture as the end result is worth the higher price. L’equip blender holds seven cups of liquid (Standard) and comes with a tool to push ingredients down into the blender. How often have you been blending and had to stop to find the perfect tool to do just that? There is no need to search for a spoon or spatula anymore! The 228 RPM blender is designed with extreme blending power. As for appearance, this was a favourite. It has a sleek design with a meter in the front and one button blending. It is very easy to clean in the front! L’equip, model 228 RPM is available at your local department store.

At the price of $280.00 you can get the Kitchenaid blender. It is available at any local department stores, and kitchen supply stores. The blender has the feature of a longer cord, this was the first thing that I noticed but the blender is tall and might have problems fitting it into a usual sized kitchen cupboard. The blender is similar in style to that of L’equip and has a low, medium and high setting. An automatic shutoff in case the blender was to overload. Always a good feature to have, just in case there is a blending emergency! Feature wise, this blender had more, therefore the extra cost is justified – if you think about it that way, but I prefer the look of a blender, and the feel along with the power – compared to the features.

If you enjoy a blender that has a wide and easy to hold jug – than the Kitchenaid blender is for you. If you enjoy a blender that looks sleek, than choose L’equip. Comparable brands come down to these small preferences. Happy Blending!
