Bob Beers and the Facts that He Backs

The race for Governor in Nevada is definitely heating up. Bob Beers is running a lean campaign but is doing well by getting out and meeting the people of his great state. I wanted to get a good solid picture for the voting public, along with the spectators of this race from all around the country, as to the issues that will be the most important to this candidate’s fate.

Bob Beers and the Facts that he Backs: Issue #1

On the gas tax, countless people are tired of spending so much at the pumps these days and with no relief in sight for the immediate future this is a subject that will undoubtedly sway the votes.
“In late April, the fourth issues difference emerged between me and Gibbons that voters can use to make their decision on who to elect Governor: the gas tax repeal.” Beers says.
His idea will solve these key problems:

1) “It would reduce the retail price of a gallon of gas;

2) It would permanently fix the strategic problem caused by the shrinking purchase power of gas tax proceeds by using general taxation which increases with population growth and inflation;

3) It would remove fuel from the legislature’s insatiable desire to refund a third of surplus revenue and hope you don’t notice them spending the rest.”

Bob Beers first proposed this last fall, as gas prices in Nevada broke $3.00 per gallon for the first time, unfortunately the politicians were against this idea. That did not stop Beers, in fact he is confident in his views on this subject and proposed a modified repeal idea. He will see this tax break through.

Bob Beers and the Facts that he Backs: Issue #2

As far as the immigration problem, Beers stands firm on this as well. He does believe that this is a federal problem that needs to be addressed by Congress. During his years as governor, Bob Beers vows to work for the people’s best interest and push Congress in the right direction. His plans include:

  • “Push for Nevada’s government to be English-only. Translating official documents into Spanish is expensive and rewards failing to learn English.
  • Young children (say, up to middle school) should be in English immersion classes. Almost all of these kids will be fluent in English in a year or two. Older kids should not, but should still have a heavy emphasis on learning English and making America their home.
  • Social services (except K-12 education) should require citizenship. Today, offering illegal aliens a full range of social services devalues citizenship, and makes the goal of becoming American less important. ”

Bob Beers and the Facts that he Backs: Issue #3

As far as education is concerned it is very simple. Bob Beers has had the same stand for several years and will continue to do so if he is elected.

“A strong community rests on a strong education system for our children. The Clark County School District has become the fifth largest in the nation, yet the Las Vegas metropolitan area has only recently broke into the top fifty. Our peer districts are largely blighted inner cities thrown together by politicians at a loss for how to make things better. This isn’t us. ” According to his website.

He supports, as he always has, breaking up the Clark County School District into smaller districts.

Bob Beers and the Facts that he Backs: Issue #4

Yes folks, Bob Beers is Pro-Life. Unfortunately, a governor can not legally do anything about whether abortions are performed in his state. However, it is awfully good to know that he is a man of moral conscience and value. He obviously cares a great deal about human life making him a wise choice for Nevada.

Bob Beers and the Facts that he Backs: All About the People

Bob Beers really enjoys reaching out to the public and getting down to business; however, there is a personal side that goes hand in hand with this side of Bob. He joined the large crowd that turned out to commemorate Minden’s 100th anniversary where the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra played several wonderful pieces including “Celebration” which was written and conducted by Aaron Pellegrini..

“Loved it, even with the odd acoustic ceiling in the park. As Governor, I will strive to attend as many performances as possible, I am a musician for fun, write and record songs, and have played my trombone and guitars so far this year. I have been pretty busy, so haven’t touched my trumpet, piano or bass.”

This concludes the top issues at hand regarding Bob Beers and the facts that he backs.
