Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones Review

I don’t consider myself and audiophile and I freely admit that I know precious little about sound technology, but after listening to music on my Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones, I find myself coveting their exquisite craftsmanship and superior technology, and suddenly I want to know how these marvelous things work.

I purchased the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones on a whim, namely because I had some extra birthday cash burning a hole in my pocket, but no real object of desire in mind. Scanning the aisles of my local electronics store, I came across the Bose headphones, and though they are quite expensive, I was familiar with the name of Bose and the superior sound quality it represented.

As I do love listening to music, and as my taste in music is sometimes at odds with the musical preferences of my wife, I decided that a purchase of headphones would be a wise choice, and Bose is certainly a reputable brand.

So with my new Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones in hand, I returned home and immediately put them to the test.

I did not have a previous set of headphones to compare the Bose headphones to, but I could still determine that I had made an excellent choice. The music was sharp and clear, with all aspects well-pronounced. I found myself hearing subtle elements of songs that had previously been either inaudible or lost among other noises and instruments.

Listening to music on the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones was like an aural experience of heavenly proportions. I was able to shut my eyes, lean back, and let my mind journey along a soundscape of diverse musical adventures, floating upon notes and beats, gliding along rising crescendos, and floating gently back to earth on the shimmering waves of guitar strings.

Amazing sound aside, the actual technological features of the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones may not sound exciting to a typical consumer, but they certainly do create a great listening experience. The technology of the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones is designed to reduce and eliminate unnecessary outside noise, while similarly enhancing the audio, so that you can truly enjoy a movie or your music without any other aural interference.

The headset itself is lightweight and comfortable, with extra ear insulation. Fitting comfortable over your head and ears, you can easily relax while wearing the headphones, rather than be distracted by irritation that other headphone sets can sometimes impart.

The Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones promise outstanding audio performance, and it certainly delivers. Whether you are plugged into your stereo or television, or utilizing the headphones while traveling by air (as I have done recently), you will find the Bose headphones suitably enhances all audio to the highest degree possible. Easily portable, with an accompanying sturdy carrying case, I had no problem bringing them along with me to the airport.

The Bose QC2 headphones, as they are dubbed, also come with an audio cord that can attach to any number of audio devices, including portable music or DVD players. I do wish that the headphones weren’t so large. At home, I don’t mind them, but they aren’t exactly fashionable to walk around in public.

But alas, that is the price you pay for superb quality. I would highly recommend the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones for anyone with a large sum of extra cash to spend and the desire for listening to extreme audio.
