So for Chicago visitors who are scrimping on travel and lodging costs in order to free up extra cash for playing in the city, it’s worth considering budget hotels near Midway Airport. Although most of the common tourist attractions in Chicago are near downtown or north of it, cost-conscious travelers can still crash close to Midway and take the cheap 25-minute ride into the Loop on the CTA Orange Line. They offer a free shuttle to Midway, an exercise room, free breakfast, free newspapers, and other nice but non-extravagant amentities for a comfortable but cost-conscious stay.

You may be surprised to learn that extended stay hotels often have some of the best rates, especially on the weekends, when fewer business travelers are in town. And no, you don’t necessarily have to stay in Chicago for weeks at a time to get a deal.
