Cleaning Your Pool
One of the biggest misconceptions that pool owners believe is that if they have an automatic cleaning system that they do not have to manually clean the pool. This is simply not true. Automatic cleaning systems can be very helpful, but at the same time they do miss certain areas of the pool.
In order to combat this, a pool owner should manually clean the pool at least once a week. The walls and floor of your pool can be easily cleaned with a manual brush and pool vacuum. Buy a manual brush that comes with a telescoping handle so that you can do all of your cleaning from the side of the pool.
You should pay particularly close attention to any areas of your pool that do not get a lot of circulation. They include: corners of the pool and stairs that lead in and out of the water. These areas tend to get the dirtiest, and need special attention when you are doing your weekly cleaning.
Also, always remember to use the proper amount of chlorine and sanitizers in your pool. This will help to cut down on bacteria build up which can be harmful to swimmers.
By putting in the time and effort to clean your pool once a week you will be ensuring the health and well being of anybody who uses it. It is well worth your time!
