Clorox Dual Action Toilet Bowl Cleaner Review
My husband and I recently built a brand spanking new house. Exactly one month ago, we packed up our things and moved into the new castle. We live in the country and had to dig our own well. In our area, wells have a lot of rust and iron in the water. Unfortunately, we neglected to purchase a water softener immediately after moving. After one month’s time, our toilets looked like the toilets in a fraternity house. I was mortified to invite people over for supper.
I decided that it was high time I did something drastic to the toilets. Since we recently purchased a house, we were running on a tighter budget than normal. I decided to buy generic brand toilet cleaners. These cleaners did absolutely nothing for the rust. Our toilets were so rusty inside, it looked like there was urine sitting in the bowl even before use. This is when I decided to purchase the Clorox Dual Action Toilet Bowl Cleaner.
At first I was skeptical. The bottle looked strange to me because there were two separate liquid chambers with different colored cleaners in each. It was different than any other toilet cleaner I had ever seen. Then it seemed strange to me that this particular cleanser was less harsh on septic systems than traditional toilet cleansers. Even though this was a positive thing for us, I thought this would mean that the chemicals wouldn’t clean quite as well as the harsher formulas. Boy was I wrong. I squirted the liquid in the bowl, waited ten minutes, and scrubbed. I had never seen my toilet so white. The rust was gone.
Not only does the Clorox Dual Action Toilet Bowl Cleaner do what it says on the label, but it also has a nice scent. Other toilet cleansers I have used in the past have been so strong that I can’t even close the bathroom door while scrubbing the toilet. Clorox is not only less pungent, but actually fresh smelling and pleasant.
If I had anything to complain about this product, it would be the fact that it might be used up too quickly. I am guessing that my two-toilet house will go through the bottle in six dual uses. My only suggestion would be a larger bottle.
All in all, the Clorox Dual Action Toilet Bowl Cleaner is the best toilet cleanser I have found on the market today. it does not use false advertising to gain a profit. Although it is a name brand product, the Clorox Dual Action Toilet Bowl Cleaner is one that will fall into my shopping cart again and again in the future.
