Complete for Pets Stain & Odor Remover – Product Review

My five year old English Springer Spaniel was housebroken fairly quickly. Every once in a blue moon, however, my children fail to notice her clear signals that she needs to go outside and she has an accident. The most recent one was quite a doozy. She urinated at the top of the stairs near the bedrooms and then snuck off to hide. When I discovered it several hours later, it had already seeped well into the carpet padding. My husband quickly ran out to the store and returned with Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover.

I am a huge fan of Nature’s Miracle and endorse the product enthusiastically to all pet owners to effectively remove pet stains from carpeting. Our local pet store which carries this fine product was closed for the night and not wanting to let the stain sit any longer than necessary, my husband stopped into Target and purchased Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover. This product cost $4.99 for a twenty four ounce bottle.

The outer packaging of Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover claims that the product contains natural enzymes that break down pet stains and neutralize the unpleasant odors. Since Nature’s Miracle relies on the same science to treat pet stains and odors, my husband thought this would be a comparable product. Pet owners know that products that simply mask the odors of pet stains do very little in the long term as far as keeping the home smelling fresh and clean, as well as leave bacteria from the pet urine trapped in the carpet fibers. Cleaning products that break down the pet stains using natural enzymes are much healthier as they actually eliminate the stains and destroy the harmful bacteria.

Application of Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover is very simple. After saturating the stain with the product sprayed from the bottle, the stained area gets blotted with a towel after ten or fifteen minutes. The goal is to absorb as much of the wetness as possible. The area then gets left to air dry. The bottle recommends that heavily soiled areas could require extra treatments.

After my first application of Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover, I was not overly impressed. The strong scent of urine was still present. However, the second time I applied the product to the stained area, I was rewarded with excellent results. I poured a little extra Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover on the soiled area and then used a small stiff brush to really work the product into the carpet and reach the padding underneath. The next day I was pleasantly surprised to find that the area no longer had the unpleasant odor and instead smelled clean and had a pleasant citrus aroma.

Overall, I would rate Complete For Pets Stain & Odor Remover four out of five stars. The product is effective, however, a little tweaking to the application method is necessary for large pet stains. The recommended method may work just fine on very small areas and minor pet mishaps. For larger stains and messes, I would recommend using a larger amount of product and really working it into the carpet. I would definitely recommend this product and plan to keep a bottle on hand for future per mishaps.
