Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney offers resorts in the value, moderate and deluxe categories. Disney’s Coronado Springs, which opened in 1997, is one of their moderate resorts. Prices start at just $139 in their value season and standard rooms are available as well as suites. There is also exhibit and convention space for those who need to book meetings.

Disney’s Coronado Springs offer three different sections to their resort. They are called Casitas, Cabanas and Ranchos. The Casitas offer tiled fountains and are more in a tranquil setting. The Cabanas are closer to the pools and lake area. The Ranchos are in a quieter section and offer a distinct desert feel.

Walt Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort offers a southwestern vibe. They take pieces of Spain, Mexico and New Mexico to give it a unique warm and rustic feel. Upon arriving at the entrance, be sure to look up and see the exquisite ceiling decorations. There is a beautiful fountain in the lobby to greet you. It is a large space and has ample room for everybody checking in and checking out.

The rooms are decorated with earth tones and splashes of muted versions of red and greens as well. Arched doorways carry the theme into the room. Handcrafted furniture adds charm to the rooms. You can choose rooms with standard view or a water view. The beautiful lake and serene atmosphere all add to your experience.

Dining at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs is a treat at the Maya Grill or at the casual Pepper Market. Francisco’s is a great place to lounge in the evening hours.

The massive pool with Mayan temple and really long waterslide will have the family splashing in no time. Even the playground is built into the theme of the resort. This is truly a unique place to play and visit. Kids can even be a part in the pools opening each morning! If you are looking for a little more action, there are volley ball courts available.
A bar and snack bar are nearby the pool area as well for those looking for a treat.

There is a health club, salon and also a spa for those so inclined. Disney’s Coronado Springs also uses environmentally friendly practices.

Bus transportation is available to the many theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney area. Disney’s Coronado Springs is centrally located which makes it a quick trip to each of the parks.
