Counting Miracles

I’m counting miracles. What is a miracle? It is a shift in perception–a different way of seeing a situation, your life, or the world. It is an unexpected gift, or a moment of extraordinary beauty. A miracle is an instant in which you deeply feel that all is well. Today I experienced a miracle.

I was deeply involved in a difficult financial issue today. I worried, felt anger, stress, hopelessness, frustration, and disappointment. As these negative emotions moved through me I kept my focus on the following:
âÂ?¢ I am the presence of love. I am as God created me–whole, and well, and blessed.
âÂ?¢ God, or Spirit is always with me–providing, protecting, leading me.
I want joy. I want the peace of God. I want abundance.

As expected money did not arrive today, as more delays occurred in my business, I kept my focus. At some point I felt that everything was okay. I don’t need to worry. There was a feeling of expansion in my chest, an opening up to an inner sense of joy and confidence. This is my miracle. In the face of seemingly overwhelming problems, I was at peace. Now I don’t see the situation as overwhelming; I see it as being handled.

Some might say that a sudden influx of cash would be the miracle. An influx of cash would be a result of the miracle. The change in perception comes first. What follows in the physical is none of my business. I will stay with the joy I feel. I will do whatever I need to do to take care of business. Everything will play out as it should.

Miracles inspire gratitude. I am grateful for this miracle. Even though I don’t know for sure how the bills will be paid or how much business is coming in, or how much money will show up, I am grateful now. Gratitude is love expressed. My expression of gratitude is trust in the Universe to provide for me.

My physical life is a reflection of my inner life. How I see myself is shown to me in my circumstances. Are my circumstances bad or good? They are neither. We never know how one event will lead to another event, or how one seeming mishap becomes a blessing. It does no good to judge events or to judge one’s self. There is nothing to fix. All that I could ever want is already within me. It’s my role to let it flow.

Creative ideas for increasing my business are now coming to me. That’s another miracle. I’m seeing some family members in a different light, which changes the way I relate. That’s another miracle. Expect miracles if you are ready and willing to receive. Release your opinions and judgments. Acknowledge what you are (your connection to God or Spirit). Know who goes with you. (God, or Spirit goes with you everywhere.) Clarify what you want. (Joy, love, abundance, peace.) Understand that what you want does not lie outside of you. It is within you. It is already done.

You are a miracle. You don’t have beg for miracles or wait for them. You don’t need to put off your happiness until you get the right amount of money, or lose enough pounds, or find your soulmate. Happiness is now. Expect miracles. Start counting them, and be grateful for each moment of joy you experience.
