Crater of Diamonds State Park
There are 59 Standard B campsites, which include electricity and water. The price of these campsites is $10.50 to $14.50 per day depending on the time of year. This state park also has a standard pavilion to use for the price of $45 per use or $80 per day use. When paying for a pavilion, the guest will have to decide if they will need it for a few hours or for an entire day, which is the difference between per use cost and per day cost. The pavilion use also includes restrooms. Other features at this state park are a caf�© that serves breakfast and lunch, laundry facilities, a gift shop, vending machines, 2 trails, 2 bathhouses with showers, a RV dump station, picnic areas and a wildlife observation blind.
The biggest attraction to this state park is the opportunity to search and dig for diamonds and other gems such as garnet, amethyst, jasper, agate, quartz and more in the only diamond mine open to the public in Southwest Arkansas. Admission charged for this opportunity is $6 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Group rates are also available. Digging tools are available for rent and any gems found here can be kept. The gem search area is located past the visitor center.
Another attraction at Crater of Diamonds is Diamond Springs, which is an aquatic playground. Admission for this attraction is $5 per person 42 inches tall and over and $3.50 per person under 42 inches tall. This aquatic playground has a wading pool as well as a pool deck with three shaded cabanas, tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs and a lifeguard on duty.
