Creative Ways to Recycle Water Bottles

We all know how important it is to drink at least 64 ounces of H20 each day. Unfortunately, many of us are usually out and about, which means we turn to water found in plastic bottles. Before you know it, your car is covered with plastic bottles. Of course, you could always take them to the recycling center and recycle them, but where would the fun in that be? Why not choose a creative way to recycle your water bottles instead?

If may not be the most creative way to recycle water bottles, but why not just recycle them instead of buying more? All you have to do is buy a bottle brush and wash them with hot soapy water. Then just refill the bottles from the tap and pop them in the fridge. Not only is this a creative way to recycle your water bottles, but it also saves you money as well.

Another creative way to recycle water bottles is to use them to make a souvenir when you go to the beach. Just rip the label off the water bottles you plan to recycle so that you have a clear view of the inside. Then begin to layer what you see around you to make a creative souvenir. Start out with base of sand, add a few sea shells, and then add some of the sea. This is creative way to not only recycle water bottles, but to bring a piece of the beach home with you.

If you want to get really creative, recycle water bottles to create science projects for your children. For example, cut a bottle in half, fill with top soil, and place in a few beans. Have your children water the beans and watch their plant grow. Children will love this. Another creative project is to fill the bottle with water and oil. Have your children shake the bottle. They will be stunned when the water and oil combine and then quickly separate again. If you wanted to make this creative project even more fun, add food coloring to the water, before adding the oil.

One last creative way to recycle water bottles is to use them for ice packs. Simply wash them with hot soapy water and a bottle brush. Then just fill them up with water and place them in your lunch box or picnic basket. Just be sure that the cap is screwed on securely or you could have a wet lunch.
