The most thrilling cruise I ever had the opportunity to enjoy in this life was going to Alaska. A cruise to the Caribbean is always special. Seeing the Mediterranean is great. However, a cruise to Alaska is the most exhilarating experience available in this world. The air is crisp and clear, the view is spectacular, and the “wow” factor is out of this world. You have an experience to tell your friends about that are like no other vacations.

When you tell someone that you are freezing in July, they might consider that you are sick or crazy. While visiting Alaska you escape the heat and smog of most cities in America. You know that you are really alive while shivering as an iceberg passes by. Not only are you OK, you are invigorated.
Seeing pieces of blue ice floating in the ocean is much more unique than a warm tropical breeze. Sitting in a hot tub watching ice capped mountains pass by is an experience that does not happen to most folks. A vacation to Alaska is the most different event you will probably ever encounter.
One Way
The easiest way to see Alaska is to do a round trip from Seattle. There are many choices of cruise lines and many dates to choose from. Another option for a round trip is to leave from Vancouver. These options make the connections for air travel easier.
Another way to cruise Alaska is to go northbound or southbound from Anchorage. This cruise will take you further into Alaska but require two different airport connections plus additional transportation from Anchorage to the airport there. Many times the one way cruises are less, but the airfare and extra connections are more expensive.
The Thrill Factor
At any time wildlife or a special moment can be captured on an Alaskan cruise. While eating in the dinning room on our ship a whale jumped right outside of our window. If you have a balcony cabin, a floor to ceiling view is always available to spot deer, bear, and other creatures not often seen other places.
The beauty and uniqueness of Alaska is like no other cruise. Sunsets in the summer last until midnight. Glaciers of blue colored ice can be experienced. If you are searching for a special cruise, try Alaska and you will not be disappointed.
