Cut Down on Cleaning when You Use Starch

Where does it end? I know the answer: it doesn’t! Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing the toilet and the tub – from sun-up to sundown, a person who loves a clean house is busy, busy, busy. Even if you prefer a more lived-in look for your home there are still many chores to do. It’s understandable that, if you cook, there will be dishes, pans, and counters to clean. But where does the rest of it come from? How do people who bathe and wash their hands every day, leave dirty marks around light switches, cabinet knobs, drawer pulls, or doorknobs? Probably because you didn’t know about protecting those surfaces from getting dirty in the first place. If you had applied spray starch to those areas they would reject dirt and, for you, that would mean less cleaning – a lot less. There are many things you can keep cleaner when you use ordinary starch.

Starch is a common item, easily found at a dollar-theme store, grocery store, and many other places. It’s not expensive and can be purchased as a liquid, or as a powder. Purchase the powder and you can add your own water. Put the starch in a spray bottle. Or, just purchase liquid starch and you can begin treatment to prevent dirt and stains on various items.

One area that often gets dirty, as previously mentioned, is a light switch. Just spray the starch on the switch plate, as well as the wall around the switch, and dirty fingerprints will never seen. Spray starch repels stains just like Scotchgard does for fabric. Spray inside and outside doorknobs – and the areas around them, with the starch. You’ll no longer have to scrub away black marks around doorknobs.

How much did you pay for those sneakers? You definitely want them to last as long as possible. The thing with sneakers, though, is that they aren’t usually worn long enough to wear out. Instead, they become unsightly, when even washing them no longer gets rid of stains. But if you spray your tennis shoes – and other footwear – with starch, you won’t get those stains in the first place. Starch is a miracle application that will keep expensive – or cheap – sneakers and other shoes, looking fabulous.

Spray starch also works to prevent stains on towels, wash cloths, linens, and more. Just spray it on the items when they’re clean and re-apply after every few washes.
