Dance of Life

Do you hear the haunting music
Lilting through the air?
Can you find a worthy partner
For dancing’s done in pairs.
Arm in arm you start the dance
For it’s not done apart.
Keep the rhythm in your head
And your partner in your heart.
For although the steps grow old
And the music begins to fade
You must remember all the turns
That you and your partner made.
Dancing is a marriage made
Of experience and skill.
So even though the dance may end
Your love of it never will.
