Democrats Attack Bush Policies
The should-have-been President Al Gore chided the White House for the domestic wiretapping scandal, calling for a special counsel to investigate the clear breaking of the law.¯¿½¯¿½
Of course, the attack dogs of the right didn’t wait long to fire back.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ Senator Clinton was pounced upon immediately.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ Al Gore was derided as someone trying to keep his name in the news.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ And in the most despicable response, Congressman Murtha has had his military service challenged.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ Some of the same muckrakers who attacked Kerry during the past election went after Murtha who, by all accounts, had nothing but distinguished service.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ Of course, Durbin and Kennedy have always been despised by the right.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½
What is clear is that the political choices the country makes are getting more and more “high stakes.”Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ The future path of our America is on the line.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ The Right wants to stack the courts, have perpetual war, and give broad power to corporate entities.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½
Of course, the Left is not perfect.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ But they are about stopping “King George,” they are about fighting for (and keeping)Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ our freedoms.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ And they, much more than the Republicans, are about fighting for the “common person.”Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ Make no mistake, whatever your political leaning is.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½ The future path of the country is at stake more so than any time in recent memory.Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½
