Design Themes for Bathrooms
Since decorating is a highly personal endeavor it makes sense to add personal touches that will bring the most pleasure. The bathroom is one of the most visited rooms in a house so making it what you want it to be is important. Following are decorating and design themes tips for bathrooms. On a budget or not, it’s a fun project and almost anything goes.
1. Assuming there is no right or wrong way of accessorizing will give you permission to be creative and to think outside of the box. Make it personal, make it glam, make it cozy and pretty, or make it a seaside spa, whatever you do, just make it yours.
2. Typical design themes for bathrooms include seashells, seashell soaps, seaside art and more. This decor looks especially good with a blue and white background. Using lighthouse art goes well with this theme. Also, the world atlas map shower curtain made famous by the popular TV show “Friends” is a fun way to bring this theme together.
3. Floral themes are cozy and pretty. Pastels or vibrant colors, whichever you prefer or goes with your present paint color and flooring. Pink roses, yellow tulips, orange daisies, peach irises are ideas that could be used on wallpaper, borders, towels, mats or rugs. Floral soaps in a pretty glass dish or basket would be pretty.
4. Glamorous bathrooms use lots of lighting and mirrors, plush carpeting and towels. Lushness and luxury. A design theme that is highly personal and would go well in a master suite. It can be made soft and romantic with velvety towels and green plants. Candles on mirrors, art with lighting, all make a bathroom designed for relaxing and for romance.
All of these design themes for bathrooms are budget friendly. Part of the fun of decorating is the search for treasures that please you, work with your design, and within your budget. Adding as you go, it does not have to be a finished product to be enjoyed. A pretty lighthouse snow globe or a pretty pink rose shaped soap, or a luxurious golden candle will go a long way towards bringing your design theme together.
