Early Intervention Program Helps Delayed Children
Early Intervention, a program to help babies to 3 year olds develop at the right stage of their lives. This program has been around for years. They specialize in helping parents raise their children to the right stage of the child’s life. Some of them are babies that need a little bit of help in areas such as rolling, crawling or sleeping through the night. They help with hearing, nutrition, developing and speech areas. If a child is delayed in some way, this program helps to get them on track.
The program is designed to succeed in delayed children. Some children are delayed in speech. The staff at early intervention come out to your house once a week and work with you and your child. They bring out toys and the key is to repeat the words to them. Some children look at your mouth to make the word or noise. This does help them. Some children delay in crawling and walking. The staff help your child by having you as the parent push toys around and get up and down on steep stools. If your child needs help in hearing they can only do so much. The doctors do the most part. Early Intervention can teach your child sign language and ways of communication. They can do wonders.
They have groups of activities for you and your child to attend to. They have play-dates with other children and parents, they do a lot of community activities, and they have a swim session. If you or your child love the water this will be fun. They have a lifeguard there at the pool and you can teach your child to swim with the class. It is fun and a great joy to watch your little one swim. Early Intervention have parents who go with infants in the pool. They should learn when they are little. It is easy for them but yet scary. A child needs to learn to swim and what better way than to do this with the staff of Early Intervention and their parents.

They have many staff here and are all willing to help you and your child get on the right path. No child is perfect and they all grow at their own pace and time. It is normal for this to happen. When they are delayed a little bit then sometimes they need a little help, inspiration and a lesson. It is all out of love when you spend this time with your child and teach them what the staff that day has taught you. They are experienced in what they do and preach out of love for these children.
The fee for this program goes by your income. If you are a high or middle class income level than you must pay a fee. It is not much like 30 dollars. If you are a poor income level status than this is free and you are eligible for the services. The most you will have to pay for this program is about $50. If you are a low level or get aid from state than you will have this service for free. When you visit your pediatrician with your child she/he is the one to tell you from examining your child if your child needs the program. If you feel that your child needs this program in one or two areas like speech or nutrition than tell your pediatrician. When they notify Early Intervention than it will take 3 weeks before coming out to your home. The first visit will be a Coordinator for paperwork. The second will be a nurse and 2 educational therapists. They examine the child and write it all down from what they see and tell you what level your child is at. All visits last an hour or an hour and a half. After this second visit they will assign someone to your home to work with you and your child. From this point on this person comes once a week and sometimes she brings in professionals who work in special areas. They are very nice, caring, kind, respectful professionals and are great from working with children.
