Easy-Off Bam: For Real Results, Stick With Another Product
The one product that I have always used is Fantastic with Bleach, but one day I was watching television and saw a very convincing commercial about Easy-Off Bam. My curiosity got the best of me, because in the commercial this product worked like magic. The actor in the commercial literally sprayed it on a dirty surface then simply wiped it off and Bam everything was sparkling clean.
I was ecstatic that finally here was a product that did not require any muscle work at all. Also, because I am a very busy person I thought it would certainly save me a lot of time and I can use the time I spend scrubbing to do other more pressing tasks.
So armed with my wallet I drove to Wal-Mart and I had only one mission in mind, to buy the magic cleaning product. Upon arrival at the store I went straight to the isle with cleaning products and there it was Easy-Off Bam in its majestic purple and orange bottle. I immediately grabbed it off the shelf and headed straight for the register, because as we all know it is very easy to get distracted at Wal-Mart, you walk in to purchase one thing and end up walking out with ten items. This time I was focused and walked out with just this one product.
Wal-Mart is about ten minutes away from my house, but for once I felt like I was not getting home fast enough to try out this new found product and get all the surfaces in my home completely clean. As I was making my way to my front door, I glanced at the bottle again and noticed that it even says Multi Surface “Power” cleaner! At this point I could not contain my excitement; I wanted to scream for joy.
I fumbled with my keys, unlocked the door, set my wallet and keys on the kitchen counter and headed straight for the bathroom. Now the moment had arrived and I was about to say goodbye to all the years of scrubbing because all I had to do, as per the directions, was “Apply directly to the surface or with sponge and let stand for 1 minute. Wipe and rinse thoroughly with water to avoid drying on surface”. So after 1 minute I started wiping, nothing, the dirt was still staring at me. I then rinsed the bathtub with hot water, nothing, no change at all. Then I decided to spray it for a second time and repeated the entire process. I even decided to scrub with all the strength I could master, yet to my disappointment the bathtub looked exactly the same like before I started the cleaning process.
Half an hour later I gave up and reached for the old and faithful Fantastic with Bleach and cleaned the bathtub the best way I knew how. However; not wanting to admit defeat I went to the kitchen with Easy-Off Bam in hand and tried to clean the stove, still no results! Therefore, I came to the sad conclusion that it does not work. The lesson I learned from this experience is “stick with what works and don’t take commercials too seriously.”
