Emergency Wedding Kit
If you’re planning a wedding, do yourself a favor and put together an Emergency Wedding Kit before you do anything else. It will save you time and hassles later on. It will ensure that your entire wedding preparation will go as smoothly as possible.
A small tackle box can make a great container for an Emergency Wedding Kit. Its individual compartments can hold a lot of items you’ll need. Tackle boxes come in a variety of colors. If you want to, you can even paint a box your chosen wedding colors to spruce it up.
Your Emergency Wedding Kit should consist of the following items:
1. Over-the-counter health items such as pain relievers, Pamprin or Midol, Pepto Bismol for upset stomachs, antacids, gas relief pills, eye drops, and Band-Aids. A roll of breath mints can help sweeten your special day too.
2. Place one or two tampons and sanitary pads in your Emergency Wedding Kit in case the stress of the day affects your menstrual cycle. You could end up having a mini-period even though it’s not scheduled.
3. Extra nail polish for the females in the wedding party can be used to touch up chipped fingernails. An emery board, tweezers, and a pair of nail clippers should be included in your Emergency Wedding Kit too. And, don’t forget a small bottle of hand cream to soften rough, dry hands.
4. Shout Stain Wipes are great to have on hand for removing spills on clothing before they cause a stain. Baby wipes or moist towelettes are handy too, for wiping up small spills and for cleaning soiled hands. A small pack of facial tissues can also come in handy during your wedding preparations.
5. A compact sewing kit, extra thread that matches the bride’s dress, as well as the rest of the wedding party’s outfits, straight pins, and safety pins are necessities in an Emergency Wedding Kit for repairing clothing at the last minute. Including a bottle of clear nail polish would also be a good idea. Clear nail polish is great for stopping runs in hosiery.
6. Super GlueâÂ?¢, Duct Tape, and a roll of transparent tape are always useful repair items to have around your house. Place them in your Emergency Wedding Kit too, so you’ll be prepared to make all kinds of general repairs.
7. A small can of hairspray, or hair gel, bobby pins, and a brush and a comb should be packed into your Emergency Wedding Kit too. These items can fix up hair emergencies.
8. A small notebook and a couple of pens in your Emergency Wedding Kit will always come in handy. You might need to jot down some information such as contact names and phone numbers, directions, messages for members of the wedding party, and so on.
