Energy Healing

According to those who are involved with energy healing, there is a fundamental energy that permeates and flows through our bodies and minds. This energy is known by different names, such as chi (China), ki (Japan), prana (India), mana (Hawaii), and wakan (Indians). Bio energy is popular with Western society healers. Energy healing involves directing and intensifying life force energy to make the body stronger.

Different cultures have a variety of explanations for how energy healing works. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed that energy healing removes blockages in pathways that run through the body. Some healers believe that energy healing works by balancing and stabilizing charkas, which is a series of energy centers in the body that correspond to the endocrine glands. Other healers believe that energy healing is nothing less than the force of God.

Some believe that energy healing works through resonance and entrainment. According to this belief, things or people in close proximity to each other actually resonate together. For example, healers believe that people that often feel sad or happy can affect a person nearby. In energy healing, a specialist uses their hands to set up a high vibration energy field. The person receiving the therapy then begins to resonate and entrain in response to that energy. However, it is not the specialist doing the healing it is the body is naturally healing itself through its own energy.

Energy healing seems to be effective for relieving pain, especially in the back and neck. It also appears to work well for treating internal problems, such as those in the glands and organs. Those who have received energy healing believe it also treats psychological and emotional problems by creating joy and happiness. Some healers won’t work on people who have had organ transplants or are taking medications for immune problems since energy healing is seen to boost the immune system.

When visiting an energy healer ask him how he feels at the end of the day. If he is happy and energized then that’s a good sign he may be effective, if he is tired and emotional drained then move on.
