You have finally made the decision to buy a barbeque for outside cooking yet you still need to decide what kind. Many will recommend that the best ones to buy are gas grills. Gas grills can be used with natural gas or propane depending on your personal preference. The advantage to natural gas is that if that’s how you heat your house then all you need is to hook up to your source and then you have an unlimited fuel supply. Propane is okay for gas grills but you must continually be refilling the tanks.
Once you have decided on that issue you need to go to the stores to see what features the gas grills offer that you want when you’re cooking. Gas grills come in an assortment of sizes and so that means they will have a different number of burners depending on which size you prefer. Gas grills will also use different materials for the burners. Some uses stain steel, others cast iron or sheet metal.
When searching through the gas grills to see what appeals to you, don’t forget to check the BTU ratings. BTU means British Thermal Units and tells you how much heat the individual gas grills will generate. You must check what coatings are on the burners. They can be stainless steel, porcelain coated or cast iron; each has its advantages.
Gas grills offer so many options that need to be considered. Is there an adequate storage area for cooking tools? Does it come with a warming rack? Can you attach a rotisserie? Does it have a mechanical igniter or an electric one? Must you mount it permanently somewhere in your yard or on you terrace or does it come with wheels so you can move it around?
