Fetal Tissue Research is Human Harvesting, and Abortion is the Killing of a Human
It is difficult to comment on this issue without discussing the heated issue of abortion. It is disgusting that some Americans cannot see an unborn fetus as a human being; especially since we are all taught from the first day of our eighth grade health and science classes that an organism is created at conception. If an organism is created at conception, how can that organism not be a replica of the species that it originates in?
Some activists will say a fetus is not a human being because it cannot see, hear, talk, move, think, or feel. Does this also mean that those who are blind, deaf, mute, paralyzed, mentally handicapped, or psychologically impaired are not an allowable part of the human race? Few activists would dare to allude to such accusations.
The huge ethical question of fetal tissue research should not be a question at all. Unfortunately, the unborn cannot voice their opinions on this question. America is drowned every day by screams of discrimination from groups of minorities, perhaps rightfully so. Unfortunately for the unborn, they do not have the ability to scream and be heard, and they are one of the groups most discriminated against. There is a holocaust against them.
Allowing fetal tissue research for medical studies is, in itself, an atrocity. It is repulsing that special-interest animal rights groups will protest the use of animals for medical research, but we plan to allow the murder and unnecessary mutilation of our own people for the same reasons. There are people who would like to die due to illness and deterioration, but the unborn cannot make that choice and are helpless to the clinics and careless mothers who murder them every day.
Abortion rights activists who call themselves pro-choice are not pro-choice at all – they are promoting an agenda that gives perfectly innocent citizens no choice when it comes to living or dying before they even reach their first breath. These activists claim that unborn babies are not people. Can we allow our society to accept this and condone not only the murder of them, but their mutilation as well? Perhaps if the unborn were capable of screaming and being heard, it would not be so easy to kill them or harvest them like mutilated human crops solely for the purpose of convenience and science.
