Find the Right Hotel in McDonough, Georgia

Planning a visit or a business trip to McDonough, Georgia? The Hampton Inn is one of the first brand name hotels to make a home in the McDonough area. They have 74 rooms that include queen doubles, kings, king studies and Jacuzzi rooms. All rooms are $89.00 regular rate except for Jacuzzi rooms which are $135.00. If you have AARP or AAA your rate is $80.10 for a standard room. This hotel has an established clientele of business travelers and retirees traveling to and from the northern states and Florida. Amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, wireless high speed Internet access, coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day, and USA Today(R) copies Monday-Friday. Guest rooms are equipped with microwave/refrigerator, coffee pot, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. There is a seasonal outdoor pool and exercise room on the property. All rooms are exterior entry with covered sidewalks Rates are fairly consistent for this hotel.

Though this hotel is older than the other two, it puts a priority on customer service, the free hot breakfast is ample and there is that lovely 100% Hampton guarantee.

Directions: From I-75 take exit 218 and follow 20/81 east. Turn right on Industrial Blvd at the McDonald’s sign, turn right at the stop/yield sign and the hotel is the first drive on the right.

The Best Western McDonough Inn & Suites is a relatively new all suites hotel. They have 64 suites that include queen doubles and kings. This hotel accommodates both business travelers and families. Standard king regular rate is $89.00 and with AARP or AAA it is $80.10. Standard queen double is $99.00 and with AARP or AAA it is $89.10. Free deluxe continental breakfast featuring Belgian waffles. Suites are equipped with micro/fridge, hairdryer, coffee/tea maker, free high-speed Internet access, 2 telephones with data ports, voice mail and in-room movies There is an indoor pool, Jacuzzi�®, fitness center and business center on the property. Rates are fairly consistent for this hotel.

A nice hotel, competitive in price with the Hampton Inn, but front desk staff have a tendency to be short and impatient with questions.

Directions: From I-75 take exit 218 and follow 20/81 east. Turn right on Industrial Blvd at the McDonald’s sign, turn right at the stop/yield sign and go past Applebee’s. The hotel is the next drive on the right.

Holiday Inn Express

The Holiday Inn Express is the newest addition to the McDonough landscape. They have 84 all suite rooms that include queen doubles, kings and Jacuzzi. This hotel caters to business travelers, being situated close to new business growth area. Standard regular king rate is $95.20 and with AARP or AAA it is $89.10. A standard queen double is $103.20. AARP or AAA for the queen double is $98.10. They also offer an executive suite at $119.20 and a Jacuzzi suite at $135.20. Complimentary Express Start Breakfast each day. Guest suites are equipped with microwave, refrigerator, work desk area, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and complimentary high speed Internet. There is an indoor pool, fitness center, on site guest self-laundry, whirlpool and a business center on the property. Rates fluctuate for this hotel.

While the highest priced of the three, this hotel does offer the business traveler more in the way of workspace and amenities than the others. It is also the easiest on and off the interstate.
