Johnny Appleseed Festival
Fort Wayne Indiana annually pays tribute to John Chapman, who is better known as the famous Johnny Appleseed. Fort Wayne and the surrounding region were where Mr. Chapman planted numerous apple trees and earned a well-deserved place in history. Chapman is buried in Fort Wayne, and the burial site has been declared a national landmark.

For a nominal admission fee, you can stay in your vehicle and casually drive through the 316.4 acre park to enjoy the numerous lighted displays. Alternately you can bundle up for an old-fashioned horse-drawn ride through the park.
