Four Steps to Reach Any Goal
What ever your goal may be – there’s a set of ground rules you going to have to follow.
Lets pretend for a moment that you don’t have a dream, you don’t know your true purpose in life but it’s going to come to you tomorrow morning when you wake up.
How would you make that dream come true? Where you want to go from nothing into making reality of that dream.
This is the four step process to achieving any goal.
Step #1 – Idea
The first one is an idea. An idea is the spark of life to your dream and the moment you get an idea there is no longer nothing, it is something. It’s been said that ideas are in the air accessible to everyone who chooses to grab them. And also accessible to anyone who is open to those ideas.
After you get an idea what you have to do is apply imagination to it. And the power of imagination is amazing, because as soon as you get an idea and apply imagination to it.
You can literally see your idea in a picture inside your mind. You can see something that doesn’t exist, and the only person that can see that is you.
Since the mind thinks in pictures that’s very powerful. And you can make reality of any idea you get and that’s your birthright for being a creative human being. So that’s the first step. Going from nothing to having a picture of your dream inside your mind.
Step #2 – Believing
You have to believe in your idea, you have to believe that it’s possible. You have to believe not only that, but, you have to believe that it’s possible for you to achieve your dream.
You have to see your self within that picture in your mind. And we as humans, even though we have the power of creating these pictures that we can see in our own minds, pictures of things that don’t exist – we have the uncanny ability to underestimate our own talents and abilities.
Which brings me to a important point, you don’t have to believe that you can do it before you get started.
All you need to do is believe that there is a possibility that your dream might happen for you.
And as soon as you believe that there is a possibility you can reach your dream, then it deserves your best effort. not just a mere try, but your very best effort.
Step #3 – Action
We went from having an idea, apply imagination to it and get in this picture within our minds. We believe, we believe that it’s possible for someone there is a possibility for us to achieve this dream, then it deserves our action.
If we don’t get started all that energy, all that power is wasted. So we going to get started and the specific steps we need to take are no mystery.
It’s having a great attitude. Managing your time. Using goal setting techniques. Keeping yourself motivated. Having mentors. And using the power of visualization.
So step number three is taking action in getting started going from idea to movement.
Step #4 – Discipline
Most of us have negative connotation to the word discipline.
Let me tell you how coach Anzevino put it. He said discipline comes from the word disciple and that means being a follower, a follower of a system. Whatever system that may be.
Every business out there has a system, but it doesn’t have to be business or money just to follow systems. Good health is also a system, a system of diet and exercise and you need to that system if you want to be successful in that arena.
If your goal is to have good health you need to follow a system of diet and exercise and that’s on a daily basis. Did you ever hear a saying that a apple a day keep the doctor away. That’s a system. It’s not seven apple on Sunday that’s keeps the doctor away. It’s the apple a day.
So in good health you need to apply this system, follow that system everyday and the same applies in business.
Let’s look at McDonalds, would it be possible for them to follow their system only every other day. Of course not, that wouldn’t make McDonalds one of the biggest companies out there.
Lets take health as an example. Is there a system of good health? Yes that’s diet and exercise. But there’s also a system that is the opposite of health and that system would be fast-food and no exercise. And there’s a lot of people following that system too.
Look at all the obese people out there like carrying around too much weight. They didn’t eat a thousand hamburgers in a day. What they did was follow the system of no exercise and poor diet on a daily basis.
So we’re coming up with a important point here, being successful is nothing but following a good system on a daily basis.
