To Make These Glittery Silk House Plants You Will Need:
White glue
Water
Disposable cup
Paintbrush
Fine Glitter
Hot glue and hot glue gun
Glittery puff paint or puff paint
Silk House Plants or trees
The first step so to water down some of your white glue in a disposable cup. I like to make mine 2 parts white glue and one part water.
Now, use a paint brush to paint on the glue in any pattern you would like. You can make polka dots, stripes, swirls, and even hearts on the silk House Plants.
You could also cover the entire Silk House Plants in white glue and paint for a solid glittery House Plants.
Now, roll you Silk House Plants in the glitter. You may find that if you are going to make a whole tree it is easier to do this on a large tarp and sprinkle the glitter on.
Glitter sand or colored sand also works really well. If you are trying to coats the entire Silk House Plants you may find you need to add a second coat of glue and glitter once the first coat dries.
To finish off the glittery Silk House Plants you need to let them sit and dry. You can let them rest for about 24 hours.
Now, for a really unique and glittery look for your Silk House Plants try leaving the Silk House Plants in the same color plastic they came as. Roll them in the watery glue, and then roll them in glitter that is the same color as the Silk House Plants parts. So keep the green leaves green!
You can roll them in white or silvery white glitter. It will emphasize the original color of the Silk House Plants and give a more whimsical and ethereal look for the kids!
You can also use this color scheme to paint on polka dots in the same color as the silk House Plants.
Now, if you don’t want the kids to get glitter all over the house try using glittery puff paint to decorate your Silk House Plants with a little sparkle. It gives the same glittery look minus the mess.
Now, for some more sparkle have the kids wrap their houseplants with a bunch of white or colored Christmas lights. They are super inexpensive and really can transform these glittery houseplants!
