GED Testing in Philadelphia
District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund on 100 South Broad also offers GED testing. You must register in advance. To take the complete test it will cost you $50 dollars in the form of cash or money order. You must provide two current forms of identification. You can register Tuesdays 3pm-6pm, Wednesdays 9am-12pm & 3pm-4:30pm, and Fridays 9am-12pm. Make sure you bring two No. 2 pencils and a current photo ID so you’re allowed to take the test.
Temple University also offers GED testing. GED testing is held on two Saturdays each month on the Main Campus. Testing is by appointment only. It will cost $60.00 to take all five tests and each retest will cost $12.00. To register you must call ahead of time to make an appointment. You must call 215-204-8613 Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
If you are from outside of the Philadelphia area and would like to find classes or places that do testing closer to you, call your nearby High School. They offer a lot of information and will point you in the right direction. Also, a lot of public libraries offer free GED tutoring so if you need help with brushing up on your Math or other subjects you should call your local library and ask if they offer such a program. Most bookstores offer books that are dedicated to all of what is in a GED test. You can study with all of the information in that book, making it even easier for you to pass the test!
