Gazebos and Fabric Roofing: How to Get the Job Done Easily

Gazebos are a fabulous addition to any landscape. They are attractive but they are also functional. You can entertain or just enjoy your morning coffee sitting in the gazebo. You can change colors, style and texture of the roof with the fabric. f you have built or are going to build a gazebo, you may be thinking about putting an outdoor fabric roof on it. If it had another type of roof, this may be a time consuming and delicate task. This probably requires professional assistance on fabricating and installing a fabric roof for this application.

Most of the time, if you bought a kit to put up your gazebo, you can order a pre-cut and pre-sewn replacement cover for the roof. These are easy to install because they were made for your particular frame. They may or may not come with the installation clips and ties required, but they will come sewn with grommets or other sturdy attaching configurations.

Depending on the manufacturer and where you bought the kit, you may be able to interchange any number of fabric tops to get a matching item for your current landscaping ideas.

Their are many fabrics that manufacturers use to make gazebo roofs. Among the top types used are Dacron/Polyester, Canvas, Shading Material and a registered brand called Sunbrella�® and something called Phifertex�® fabric.

Dacron/Polyester is a man made material that is both weather resistant and will last for several years with care. These come in many colors, usually solid colors. Shading Material or ShadeCloth has also become very popular. This is a fabric that lightweight, durable, weather resistant and works great for shading your area as well as ventilating it. This works excellent on a basic square gazebo. It is easy to drape and attach. Most applications come with grommets and clips available.

This is also an excellent choice for the variety of colors. It comes in just about any color you could want.
