Goodbye Daddy

Mommy says you have to go somewhere
for just a little while.
I sure am going to miss you
and that special Daddy smile.

I don’t know why you can’t be
always here with me.
I don’t know what you’re doing
and all the things you’ll see.

Every time you go away
I get so sad inside
but people tell me it’s better
if Daddy doesn’t see me cry.
