Gorgeous Ways to Decorate a Dining Room Chandelier for Christmas
A dining room chandelier makes a fantastic base for a gorgeous winter holiday display. The lights add to the beauty of the arrangement, especially after the sun goes down. It is an ideal way to decorate in preparation for a formal holiday meal, and it is incredibly easy to create. Adorn your hanging fixture with glass bulbs and beads, and turn an ordinary lighting source into something stunning. Best of all, you do not have to use traditional red and green. You can adorn your electric candelabra to coordinate with the colors in your decorating scheme. It would look especially lovely if the dining table below was set and trimmed using the same gorgeous hues.
Necessary Supplies
To decorate a dining room chandelier for Christmas you will need one dozen iridescent round glass bulbs, one dozen round solid-colored glass bulbs, clear fishing line or heavy invisible thread and big glass beads in a color that coordinates with the solid bulbs. You will also need a pair of scissors, a step ladder and a preliminary plan for stringing the ornaments and beads from the arms of the light fixture.
Procedure
Begin by tying one end of the invisible thread or fishing line to an arm of the chandelier. String the first colored bulb and wrap the line around the next arm. Add an iridescent bulb, and wrap the line around the next closest arm. Continue the process of wrapping and stringing the line and the ornaments until all of them are hanging from the dining room chandelier.
Next, tie another long piece of invisible thread or fishing line to an arm of the light fixture. String a bead, and wrap the line around the next arm. Continue stringing and wrapping until all of the beads have been added. Turn out the lights and enjoy the beauty of your Christmas chandelier.
Additional Decorating Ideas
If desired, place a centerpiece on the dining table that includes either real or battery-operated candles. When the candles are turned on or lit, they will illuminate the hanging display from below. Consider setting a table that coordinates with the overhead decor.
