Great Hotels: Baton Rouge, LA
The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel located in beautiful downtown Baton Rouge. This hotel is literally steps away from the good ole’ Mississippi River and all of its wonderfully decadent delights – such as riverside gambling on riverboats. One of the greatest assets of this hotel is the aesthetic value all guests (and non-guests alike) can enjoy. Once you walk inside of the amazing hotel you are greeted by a 50,000 square foot tropical atrium. It will take several minutes for you to realize that you are actually in the middle of a sprawling metropolitan city, because this lobby is absolutely breathtaking. You will be swept away by the wonderment of the trees and flowers. The scents that will fill your nose, are only compared to a tropical destination. And that is exactly what this hotel is meant to be – a destination. Another great feature of this lobby – and all public spots within the hotel – is completely free wireless Internet access. This 10-story hotel is outfitted with 300 guestrooms, all of which feature the above amenity of wireless Internet access. Several other amenities included in the guestrooms are coffee makers, multi-line phones with voicemail (for those business travelers, or those who have millions of friend awaiting a telephone call), cable Television, which has premium channels as well as pay-per-view. Also available to all guests of the Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel is a outdoor heated swimming pool, a spa tub, and a fitness center so you can stay in shape even on the go. So no matter if you are traveling with your family or for business, the Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel has just the right room for you.
The second hotel in which I reviewed is The Villas at Carter Plantation. This wonderfully beautiful resort rests amidst moss-covered trees and sprawling pines in Livingston. Even though this resort is slightly outside of Baton Rouge, it absolutely cannot be missed. This hotel features an eighteen-hole, professional, golf coarse on site. And this is only the beginning, throughout its beautifully landscaped – all of which is natural to the location – one will find an outdoor swimming pool, so you can rest your muscles after a long day on the course, as well as world-class room service, and airport travel, available at a surcharge. The Villas at Carter Plantation consists of two floors which houses 54 guestrooms. All of the following services are offered to their guests complimentary: high speed Internet access, daily newspapers, and premium cable television channels. Even though this resort isn’t your ordinary hotel, it absolutely is one that every traveler will come to love and adore – just like the moss adores the grand oaks they cling too.
And the last hotel I reviewed is the Marriott Baton Rouge. This twenty-one story luxurious hotel is only a mere four miles from Louisiana State University. So for those prospective college students, or for families of currently enrolled alumni, this hotel will offer you a prime location at a prime rate. However, if you are a business traveler, don’t worry, the Marriott Baton Rouge has over 20,000 square feet dedicated solely to meeting spaces for the traveling business person. There is also a 6,500 square foot ballroom that can host up to 1,000 individuals – perfect for those hazy, southern wedding receptions. Complimentary wireless high speed Internet access is found throughout the beautifully luxurious lobby. In the need for some recreation time? Well, you’ve found yourself in the right hotel, The Marriott Baton Rouge offers its guests a fitness room, spa tub, and an outdoor swimming pool, which is only open during the appropriate seasons. Need a ride to the hotel from the airport, no problem, complimentary airport transportation is provided for all guests. This twenty-one story hotel is comprised of three-hundred guestrooms, all of which offer high-speed and TV-based Internet access – a great little feature to have.
So no matter why you have found yourself in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, there is only one thing that is for certain – you will definitely not want to leave after visiting any of these amazing hotels.
