Great Websites for Those Who Love Tarot
Here are several wonderful websites for you to explore. Some are great places to get free tarot readings online, others have great articles about tarot and one offers a free online course in tarot. But all are excellent websites by people that love the tarot and want to share this gift with the world. Be sure to stop by each and see what they are like!
Tarot.com – www.tarot.com
This is one of my favorite tarot websites. At this website you can get tarot readings. They offer both free “sampler” readings as well as readings that there is a charge for. Readings are fairly inexpensive if you choose to purchase them, and you pay for them by purchasing what are called Karma Coins. You then cash in your Karma Coins as you purchase readings. You can get Tarot, Astrology and Numerology readings at this website. There are excellent articles about each of these subjects at this website, there is lots to learn at this website. You can also send free Tarot-themed e-cards to your friends from here. There are free screensavers and “buddy” icons here ready to download for free.
Learn Tarot.com – www.learntarot.com
This is an excellent website if you would like to learn about reading tarot for yourself or for other people. The lessons were written by Joan Bunning, who has authored a book called Learning the Tarot, and they take you through the tarot step by step. Even better – you can download the lessons to your computer so you don’t have to be on the internet the entire time you are learning the lessons! Bunning is an excellent teacher and even if you have been reading tarot for awhile you will probably learn some interesting things from her lessons. Her lessons are written in a casual and friendly way, it is a very enjoyable way to go to a virtual class!
American Tarot Association – www.ata-tarot.com
The American Tarot Association is a professional and social organization for tarot readers, enthusiasts and scholars. They offer several programs that include educational courseware, publications, the Free Reading and Free Tarot networks (where people can get free readings from ATA members). The ATA also has regional, national and virtual conferences and outreach and service efforts. They encourage ethical conduct among tarot readers and ask that all members abide by their Code of Ethics (found at their website). The courses ATA offers are both for the public and for ATA members. This is a wonderful organization to join if you love tarot.
Tarot Passages – http://www.tarotpassages.com/
This is a popular online magazine all about the tarot. There are interesting articles to read about the tarot, new deck reviews, articles for beginners or advanced tarot enthusiasts and even a link to a blog from the publisher Diane B. Wilkes. This is a great magazine for those who love tarot and want to learn about a new deck to pick up or learn about a new spread (type of reading) they can do.
Llewellyn – http://www.llewellyn.com/free/tarot.php
Many people know Llewellyn as a popular Mind and Spirit publisher. They also offer free tarot readings at their website and this is a wonderful place to visit for a tarot reading. You can select from eleven different decks for your reading, and from seven different types of readings. This is the type of place tarot lovers can visit again and again for a tarot reading.
Facade – www.facade.com
At Facade you can get free tarot readings. Not only have a Tarot reading, but also they offer Rune readings, Stichomancy, I Ching and Biorhythms. When requesting at Tarot reading, select Tarot and it will take you directly to that section. There are about twenty different colorful decks to select from (you cannot see the decks until your reading has been drawn). There are eleven different types of readings – you can have a classic Celtic Cross reading, or there are others such as a Cross and Triangle, One Card, Fourfold Vision and Three Fates.
