Greensboro NC Best Coffee Shops
Tate Street Coffee
334 Tate St
Greensboro, NC 27403
(336)275-2754
Tate Street Coffee is perhaps Greensboro’s finest coffee shop. Located on Tate street right beside UNCG campus the coffee shop is frequented by college students and professors. In addition to the college crowd the coffee shop pulls in a good amount of traffic from the surrounding neighborhoods, and has remained a Tate Street staple for decades. Tate Street has organically grown coffee freshly brewed, as well as a variety of different espresso drinks to choose from. The cafÃ?© is quite large which can give you room to study, and ample space for your small group gathering. The coffee shop has been known to have small acoustic bands or individuals come and perform, as well as host story readings and poetry slams.
Starbucks
5607 W Friendly Ave
Greensboro NC 27410
(336)292-3020
Everyone at some point or another has found themselves in a Starbucks. This Starbucks is a little different because it is attached to the largest Harris Teeter in Greensboro. The Teeter is located on Friendly Ave which is also home to UNCG, Greensboro, and Guilford Colleges. The large population of college students in the area means a large population of college students in this Starbucks at any given moment. Another great thing about this particular Starbucks location is that it is located right next to the Grande Movie Theater, one of the largest movie theaters in Greensboro. This Starbucks is great places to stop by and get a drink before or after a movie, or while you’re doing your grocery shopping. Starbucks has espresso drinks, as well as coffee and tea options. For the young people in your group they also make frozen blended coffees that can be wonderful on a hot day.
Spring Garden Bakery and Coffee House
1932 Spring Garden St
Greensboro, NC 27403
(226)272-8199
Spring Garden Bakery and Coffee House stands out amongst its competition for one reason: its baked goods. The coffee house has all of its baked goods baked fresh on site daily and all of which are quite tasty. I love going to Spring Garden bakery and getting a cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant and just hanging out for a little while. It’s not a very big place, but if you’re looking for a nice quiet place to read a book it can be perfect. Spring Garden’s baked goods are actually sold at Tate Street Coffee House as well. A truly wonderful place.
