The pre-eminent roller coaster park celebrates HalloWeekends through Oct. 30. Kids have their own section of the park, but bigger kids can get really scared at Undertaker U, Fright Xone anPharaoh’s Secret haunted house.

HUDSON HAUNTED HOUSE
The most famous haunted house in the area is the Hudson Haunted House. Make sure your kids can handle a good scare, because these houses are intense.

HERITAGE FARMS

GREAT PUMPKIN EXPRESS

KIDS DAY OUT
The Ashtabula Arts Center will host a special day of crafts and activities for kids on Oct. 7. Children can decorate trick-or-treat bags and make candleholders. They can even make their own scary makeup. The day also includes games and scary stories.

BLOODVIEW

MURDER MYSTERY

BOO AT THE (CLEVELAND) ZOO
This annual event draws thousands to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Costumed kids can enjoy treat bags, a hay maze, puppet shows and entertainers. A “Monster Mash” dance party is a new addition to this year’s event.
