Guide to Annual Halloween Activities in Taylor, Michigan

Halloween fall fest at Heritage park is usually hosted a week or so before Halloween. This is a free advent for the children. They will get to go on hayrides on a tractor and trailer full of hay. The children will ride along the Heritage park and through the woods. They will get to see scarecrows and other non scary figurines. Painting pumpkins is another big hit. Instead of carving pumpkins the kids are able to use non toxic paint to paint their pumpkins. The also get to do some free Halloween activities like arts and crafts . Taylor police and Fire fighters are usually here to teach the children about safety. The fire truck is available for the children to explore. The police give out little sticker badges.

Safe Halloween at Heritage Park on pardee road. This is a free advent for children under 10. Happens on Halloween day. The children walk around the park and collect candy and other goodies throughout the park. Adults will be dressed up in non scarey costumes so the little ones don’t have to get scarred. They serve candy that does not have to be checked and worried about by the parents. During your route that have free hot chocolate, cider, donuts and cookies. We enjoy this every year. The kids have a blast. I feel safe here with my children and know their candy will be safe to eat.

Halloween at the YMCA in Taylor. Although sometimes very crowded, very fun. The children all need to be dressed up. They offer various table with candy for the kids to trick or treat. Fun actives for the kids. Last year my children made witch hands filled with pop corn, gloves filled with candy corn and lots more. They were able to go through a kid hunted house. It was a little scary but not enough to freak the children out. They got to see real animals like snakes and spiders. Climb a rock climbing wall. Color pages with pumpkins on it. And a lot more. It was very fun and the children love it.

Halloween fall fest at the petting farm. $ 2.00 for residents and $3.00 for non residents. Here the children will get to enjoy the animals. Some of the animals will be out of their cages so the children may interact with them. In addition to the normal petting farm activities children will enjoy getting their face painted. Free pony rides will be going on for a few hours. Lots of Halloween arts and crafts. The petting farm is small, but the animals are well taken care of. The staff are very good with your children. They encourage children to get in the pens with the animals and to interact with them.

Haunted houses are a big fab in Taylor. We have lots of them. Some of them better then others. The scream machine which is located at the community center is one of the best around. It has been voted #1 in Michigan for being the scariest haunted house around fpr the last 2 years. This haunted house has two parts to it. You can visit the scream machine for $12.00 per person or the scream machine and the carnival of lost souls in 3D for $16.00 per person. I would recommend doing both. Both being well worth the money and very scary. The second best haunted house in Taylor is the ExFEARience Scream park Haunted Attraction. This one is pretty good to. The people here will get right up in your face and scare you. $12.00 per person to get it. Located at Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor, Michigan.
