Hamilton’s IceFest 2006 Features 100 Exquisite Ice Sculptures

IceFest 2006 Under the Sea brings to life over 100 exquisite ice sculptures in Hamilton, Ohio on Friday, January 20, and Saturday, January 21, 2006. Watch local and international carvers create captivating sculptures from 40 tons of ice. Set your eyes on the spectacular lit display along High Street between the Government Service Center and the Butler County Courthouse. The ice sculptures will highlight the sculptures in Hamilton, known as the City of Sculpture.

The Technicolor Ice Walk at the Butler County Courthouse Square is the place to be on Friday evening to see the ice sculptures brilliantly illuminated with colored lights. The events kick off at 6:30 PM on Friday at the Hamiltonian Hotel, One Riverfront Plaza.

Warm up and catch some food in the Blue Lagoon Tent.Local restaurants and organizations will offer hot foods and refreshments.

Activities for Children

A special Ocean’s Realm program, presented by Cincinnati Zoo volunteers, will thrill youngsters of all ages. Don’t miss the Frozen Aquarium Children’s Area or the Fort Hamilton Healthcare Ice Skating Rink.

Dogs and Humans Unite

Teams consisting of 6 “dogs” – 4 human pullers and 2 riders – travel in creative sleds through a course set in downtown Hamilton in the Cannonball Run Sled Race.
